GENERAL RULES FOR ADMISSION
Only the prescribed application form enclosed in the prospectus will be accepted. The following documents should be attached with the application form.
- A certificate of good conduct from the head of the institution last attended.
- Three copies of photographs.
- Attested copies of University Provisional Certificate having the date of birth and result of previous examination passed.
- A student from a University other than Panjab University is required to supply the following additional documents:
- Inter-University Migration Certificate.
- Eligibility Certificate from Registrar, Panjab University.
- Original detailed marks certificate.
- Proof of having passed the previous examination with English as one of the subjects.
- A declaration showing that she has not been disqualified by University/Board.
- Two self addressed envelops.
NOTE
- Presence of the candidate in person, at the time of admission id compulsory.
- Every student is required to give an undertaking, that she joins with the permission of her parents.
RULES OF ADMISSION FOR COMPARTMENT CASES
A candidate placed in one subject in the Senior Secondary or any other examination of another Board/University which is recognized as equivalent to the corresponding examination of this University is allowed to joint next higher class provisionally in a college affiliated to this University on the condition that if she fails to clear the compartment of the parent University/Board in two consecutive chances, her provisional admission to higher class shall be cancelled. Admission to higher class will be confirmed only on clearing the compartment.In case some information provided by that student proves wrong on confirmation, the authorities reserve the right to change the decision regarding the admission of that student
RULES APPLICABLE TO THE COMPARTMENT CANDIDATES OF OTHER UNIVERSITIES
- A student of any other University who is placed in compartment in I Year/II Year of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/BCA/BBA course will not be allowed to join the II Year/ III Year course of this University as per the guidelines.
- A candidate who has been placed in compartment in one subject, with at least 20% marks in the subject in which she has been placed in compartment in +2 examination conducted by the OPEN SCHOOL BOARD in India shall be eligible to seek admission to the I Year of B.A./B.Com/BCA course under 10+2+3 system of education, if otherwise eligible, provided she passed all the subjects in one attempt except the one in which she was placed in compartment.
